CEREL is a machines and devices parts producer as well as products used in the energy and electrotechnical industries. We manufacture insulators, bowls and insulating elements, high-current fuse housings, terminal blocks, oxygen pipes for coking plants, nozzles for a fluidized bed boiler for coal combustion, valves, balls, pipeline lining and many others.

These elements are mainly made of porcelain, alumina and silicon nitride.

Solid Oxide Fuel Cells

Fuel cells are devices that directly convert chemical energy into electricity and heat as a result of an electrochemical reaction between fuel (hydrogen, methane) and oxidizing gas (oxygen, air). The Anode Supported Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (AS-SOFC) offered by CEREL are ready-made elements that can be used for testing, research and educational purposes in the field of energy, as well as directly for the construction of a high-temperature fuel cell stack. High operational parameters (maximum power density of a single cell - 400 mW/cm2 at a temperature of 700°C) allow for obtaining a high cell power-to-weight ratio. The layers of solid oxide fuel cells in IEn OC CEREL are made using an innovative method of high pressure injection molding of ceramic materials and using efficient thin-film methods. Compared to commonly used methods such as tape casting, the use of the high pressure injection molding allows for a significant reduction of production time and reduction of post-production waste, and allows to obtain cells with high repeatability of dimensions and electrochemical parameters. The use of high-productive technologies allow us to offer AS-SOFC cells characterized with high parameters of electrochemical properties at a very competitive price.

  1. Profiled (corrugated) AS-SOFC cells – these are special cells with a corrugated anode surface. The profiled surface enables better flow and distribution of gases on the fuel electrode side during cell operation.

    • Full AS-SOFC cells with the shape and dimensions specified by the customer
